Did you know that September is National Pain Awareness Month?
To raise awareness, PainPathways Magazine will team up with leading pain management expert, Lynn Webster, MD, to host a discussion on opioid therapy for the treatment of chronic pain. This LIVE Facebook Chat will take place on Thursday, September 24th, at 12noon ET.
Dr. Webster, a board-certified anesthesiologist and pain management specialist, has been a strong advocate for safe and effective pain management therapies for over three decades. Also certified in addiction medicine, Dr. Webster lectures extensively all over the world on the subject of preventing opioid abuse in chronic pain patients, and has written more than 300 scientific abstracts, manuscripts, and journal articles. Past president of the American Academy of Pain Medicine, Dr. Webster is the author of the new book, The Truth About Pain, which debuts this fall.
Dr. Webster will answer questions about pain management therapies and discuss the use of opioids for the treatment of chronic pain.
People with pain, health care providers and caregivers are encouraged to participate in this interactive forum. Questions may be sent in advance via Facebook on the Events page. Registration is not required and chat details are available on Facebook.
